Driving is a fast source of transportation that is used all over the world each day. I know that I personally drive my car a lot because I have places to be and need to get there in a timely manner.

Not many people enjoy being stuck in traffic, road hazards, and not being able to find their car in a large parking lot. Since I downloaded the app “Waze” I haven’t had to deal with any of these driving problems again.

This app is so helpful, it has a variety of features and the best part is that it is absolutely free!

What is “Waze”?

“Waze is the worlds largest community-based traffic and navigation app”. This app doesn’t only help you find your “Waze”. But it also connects you to drivers nearby to learn and share about the current traffic and other road information that is beneficial to know.

Saving Money

You will not spend a penny by getting this app but I can assure you that will be saving money instead!

Now, you are probably wondering… How?

Well, this app alerts you saying “police reported ahead” when there is an officer within the next mile of you. I am not saying or giving you the permission to drive crazy. This is just a feature that this app offers and keeps me aware to slow down and to pay attention to my surroundings. You can also turn on the Waze Speedometer in the settings of the app and alerts will notify you when you are exceeding the speed limit. These features have possibly even saved me from getting pulled over and receiving a ticket.

Not only does it inform you about police and speed limit safety. But it also warns you about different road hazards such as logs or road kill. The app shares when there is any potentially dangerous risks ahead of you, this can prevent you from hitting something and from having to swerve out of the way last minute.

If that isn’t enough to show you how much this app offers. I would like to share that it also tells you when there is a car on the shoulder ahead of you. Someone may be broken down on the side of the road or have a flat tire. This is a warning for you to not drive to close to the edge and to pay attention to that upcoming person/car.

This can save you money because it keeps you alert and safe. It keeps you aware of what to expect on the road ahead and can save you from receiving a ticket or getting your car damaged. Not only does it keep you updated and aware. But the app shares local gas stations nearby and lists the prices so that you can find the cheapest one. Waze has found multiple ways to save us all money and I love it!

Sitting in traffic is no fun and can seem like forever and such a waste of time.

But guess what?

Waze outsmarts the road on this one… The app gives you the fastest route avoiding as much traffic as possible.

I use this app every single day even if I know where I am going. I do this just because I want to see the estimated time of arrival and what to expect for traffic.

When you look at your other GPS and compare it to Waze, you can literally see the time difference right there between the different maps. You will see how this app guides you away from traffic and has a quicker route than your other GPS.

Waze also allows you to “Add a Stop” when you forget something or need to stop somewhere quick on your way. “Roadside help features” are available as well to give options of what kind of help you need for your situation. You can choose things such as a flat tire, battery issue, medical issues and many more when you need roadside assistance as quickly as possible.

Lastly, since this app knows your location, you can set it to remember where you park. This has really saved me a lot of time because I am always parking somewhere new on campus or downtown. I used to spend 10-15 minutes searching for my car in a large parking lot. Due to this parking feature that Waze provides, I haven’t spent another minute wandering around since I downloaded this app!

In conclusion, I absolutely love this app because it has kept my drives more safe and simple. Not only has it prevented me from different road obstacles but also sticky situations and has kept me on time. And the best part about it is that it is at no cost to you… it is absolutely free.
