Successful Spring Break Planning
Man, time is flying by…It seems like just yesterday was New Years but now springtime is just ahead of us and I definitely won’t say no to a trip. To make the most of spring break, you should have everything well prepared. There is nothing worse than waiting several months for a break and then not having the essentials ready when you need them.
I decided to write a post about the 15 things you must have for a successful spring break!

1. Sunscreen
This is so important if you want to protect your skin and not spend half your week rubbing on aloe vera gel. I suggest using a sunscreen that is more than 15 SPF. Even if you are not directly in the sunlight, it is possible to even get a burn on a cloudy day… the sun shines through more than you could imagine!
Also, don’t forget that you NEED to reapply throughout the day. The lotion will wear off, so don’t be afraid to layer some extras on!

2. Reusable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is important for many reasons. By bringing a reusable bottle you will prevent yourself from getting thirsty and you will save a lot of money and plastic (you won’t have to buy a separate water each time).
3. Bug Spray
Nobody enjoys having their body covered in itchy bug bites their whole trip. At least nobody that I know of/ Pack some bug spray and spray it on to keep those mosquitoes away!

4.Music Playlist
Skip trying to find a new radio station in your destination and messing around with the commercials. Instead, come prepared with a music playlist to jam out to along your travels. At least you will be guaranteed to have music that you and your crew all enjoy!
5.Body Wipes
Traveling can be unpredictable, from camping to flight layovers, you never know what to expect. Your body will probably feel gross at times and you might smell bad at times (if we are gonna be honest here). These body wipes can help deodorize, wipe off dirt/sand, and even remove a lot of your makeup. Whatever it is that you are doing in your travels you can definitely put these wipes to use!
6.Baby Powder
Baby powder is another essential when it comes to your spring break trip. Leaving the beach you will want all of the sand to come off of you, by pouring baby powder on your sandy skin, it will immediately help to remove it. Also, baby powder is great for greasy hair helping to remove the oils.
7.Headphones
These are a must if you want to listen to your own personal music or be entertained throughout your long waiting times. I don’t know how I would’ve survived if I didn’t have headphones for the 10-hour plane rides and the obnoxious bus trips within my travels.
Personally, I use the “Bose” headphones but I have heard that “Otium” works just as well. I prefer the over the ear hook type of headphones for my travels because they stay in my ear well when I am constantly moving around (even while working out)!

8.Beach Towel
For those of you that will be at the beach on some of your days off a towel is a necessity. Nobody wants to be stuck laying in the hot and sticky sand all day long! I enjoy packing a super cute towel to make the trip even better, pictures turn out more Insta worthy that way!!
9.Tote Bag
During your trip, you will be carrying around a lot of different items. Bringing a tote bag makes things much simpler because you can fit everything in just one bag instead of carrying several. This beach bag has multiple pouches that vary in size and even includes a little cooler on the bottom!
10. A Hanging Toiletry Bag
I use this bag every time I travel to keep my bathroom necessities stored away and organized. Toiletry bags commonly contain multiple pouches to hold all of your items and can be hung up out of your way. I love that this bag can be hung up because it allows a lot more counter room space by the sink and inside of the drawers.

11.Waterproof Speaker
Music is a universal language so don’t be afraid to play it loud and proud no matter where you are. Bringing a speaker that is waterproof allows you to listen to music while in the pool, laying by the ocean, and even while showering! I say… “why not”?
This Bose Bluetooth Speaker is the best one to invest in because it has a strap to tag along with you for all of your adventures, provides Google assistant and Siri features, and can even be paired with other devices of the same sort. If you are looking for something a little less expensive speaker, I would suggest the Anker Bluetooth speaker. This is a great choice because it provides a built-in microphone, can float when it is in the water and lasts up to 10 hours with just one charge!
12.Dry Shampoo
It can get tough sharing a hotel with multiple people and not having enough shower time. Also, the weather may be different on your trip from what you are used to at home. Or you might just be craving some volume and a nice scent. If this seems accurate, dry shampoo is essential for you, it will keep you feeling refreshed!
13. Portable Phone Charger
I got the “Anker PowerCore Charger” for my Spring Break in 2016 and haven’t stopped using it since! It has been so beneficial even when I am not traveling. This charger is one of my favorite items that I own, it recharges my phone multiple times before I have to recharge it! I don’t even remember the last time that my phone died!! Plus, nobody wants to have their battery die while they are not near their home, that can make things difficult.

14. First Aid Kit
It is always better to be safe than sorry. Carrying around a first aid kit can be very helpful in case of a mini-emergency. You will have access to creams, bandages, and even a thermometer with this kit.
15. Copy of your personal documents
I am always hoping for the best but in case of an emergency, it is always smart to have a scanned copy of your personal documents. This means your passport, ID, and health insurance. Be prepared for the worst. It is possible that you get your wallet stolen and end up stuck in a foreign country because you didn’t have proof of documentation. Obviously, we don’t want that though.
Let’s keep safe! I hope this list helps you with your upcoming trip and that you have a BLAST!
