It wasn’t too far into high school that I began to get a little bit of acne. I mean it wasn’t the kind that was everywhere around my face but there was definitely some spots that would show up here and there. And they seemed to feel like they caused the most attention because it was a big red dot in the middle of my face. So, yeah. No fun.

Everyone should take care of their skin by keeping it clean and healthy with trustworthy products. It wasn’t until recently that I got to work with Neutrogena and their brand. I chose to try the “Acne Proofing” products because my goal was to eliminate my acne.

Both of these products are “NEW” and meant to help clear your skin and treat it to become more acne resistant throughout regular use.

Neutrogena Cleanser and Exfoliator Scrub

First, I remove all of my makeup with Cleansing Towelettes to ensure that I can get a good cleanse without makeup running down my face. Next, I used the gel cleanser on my neck, face, and ears as a facial wash. Since it is a thick gel, I think 1-2 pumps is plenty, it was enough for me.

The Gel Facial Cleanser and Wash seems to be very powerful with the amount of salicylic acid inside of it. This ingredient can be found in many acne solution products and is meant to help dry out the acne. And not only is it powerful, but it also smells super nice, making you feel refreshed.

Now let’s get to talking about the other product that I got from Neutrogena.

Exfoliator

The Exfoliating and Cleansing Face Scrub is my favorite of these two products because of how energizing and clean it makes you feel. Once you apply it, you can feel the little orange dots filled with gel breaking off the dead skin as you rub them against your face.

Also, I noticed that my skin feels much cooler (temperature wise) and I always feel more bright and cheerful after the use. And my face feels immediately smooth afterward too!

With the use of these two products, I have gained some trust towards Neutrogena and their products. I am glad that I took the chance to try their cleanser and exfoliator as my new acne proofing kit!

Just remember to always use motions that are upward on your face rather than pulling your skin down. This can help reduce lines, wrinkles, and any saggy skin later on.
