I understand that having workout equipment nearby can make your process of staying healthy much more simple and motivating. And that is why I have created a list of different types of portable exercise equipment that you can travel with. This is to ensure you have a variety of options without having to worry about how you will keep your body in shape while on the move!

Exercise Mat

When coming prepared for your workout with an exercise mat, you are already one step ahead of the game. This mat is very lightweight and comes with a carrying strap, making it easy to travel with.

When using this portable exercise equipment mat, you are preventing your hands and feet from sliding across the floor during your workout. It is also commonly known to protect and cushion your knees throughout any movement making your exercises more comfortable.

Recently, I realized that I can use the mat to provide myself with boundaries. So this mat provides a good visual of where my stance should be.

Kamagon Exercise Ball

This is a new portable exercise equipment for me but I think it is by far one of the coolest. It is just one piece that can substitute in as any type of weight like a kettlebell, medicine ball, and dumbbell.

The most exciting part about this accessory is that you can mix up your workout as much as you want.  If you want more resistance and to train with weights more heavily you just add water. If your goal is not to add muscle but just to tone your body then you can decrease the weight by taking out some water. Either way, this is still an effective exercise ball and tool to include in your workout.

Although this Kamagon Ball can be used as a type of portable exercise equipment since it can be as light as two pounds. I must add in, that it does still hold the same round shape even when water is not in the ball because of how thick the material is.

Speed Jump Rope

This rope is so portable that it can literally fit inside your purse or wrapped up inside a T-shirt. And it is the best jump rope for cardio because the cable is totally adjustable for your height, the handles are lightweight and easy to hold on to!

I use the speed jump rope during my workout routine to get in the cardio I need. Using the jump rope allows me to get my heart-rate up and going without feeling the high-impact that comes with running.

Usually, I start off slow and increase my speed over time. Doing this has helped me develop better coordination skills. To make this a little more challenging, once in a while I add ankle and wrist weights while I am jumping. Then, once I take the weights off, I automatically feel much lighter and jumping rope seems easier. I wouldn’t suggest this though if you are new to jumping rope.

Hand Grip Strengthener

Although it can be tricky at times, opening up jars in the kitchen is something we all should be able to do! Even though, I still sometimes call my neighbor to come over and help open the pickle jar. I am still working on my hand strength. And this tool is the best way to start!

This exercise ball can be easily inflated within minutes by using the hand pump, which comes in the package. When using this ball, there are a variety of different ways to train with it.

I usually use it as a stability ball to increase my control and overall strength. But I have seen the ball used to help with muscles gains in the arms and legs. As well as, I have seen people use it to improve posture, flexibility, and much more.

Ab Wheel Roller

Ab wheelers are a straight ride to that 6-pack of abs that you crave. With this type of portable exercise equipment, you will be burning belly fat like it is nothing!

I am pretty positive that you will find this wheel more smooth and simple to use than any other ab roller you may have tried. I have used several different types and this is by far my favorite.

If you don’t already have a strong core, it may be a little difficult to do this full workout. But by taking it a little bit at a time, you will eventually strengthen your muscles enough to be able to do a full rep.

And this exact pilates ring is my favorite because not only does it have padding on the outside but it also carries it on the inside as well, creating a more effective workout. I also love how it is so easy to use, carry around, and includes a carry-bag for storage.

This portable exercise equipment is a big secret to getting a strong and toned core.

Throughout the range of motion when using these sliders you are increasing your balance, flexibility, and your body control! All while you are keeping the impact to a minimum because your hands and feet are constantly in contact with the floor (this means – less joint pain)!

I also find it impressive that these sliders can be used on carpet as well as any hardwood floor. Since it is “dual sided”, you must use the smooth side while on the carpet and the hard side when you are on tile floors. But, this just gives the sliders another reason to why they are such a great example of a portable exercise equipment.
