“Health before anything else.” Ahhhh, how simple life would be if we all lived our lives like this. But we don’t, many of us live our lives seeming to put anything before our health. But that’s definitely not the way we want it to be. We think about food, being lazy and chillin’ all day, and causing our minds to stress more than we actually think about anything else.

Well, considering the year is nearly over and we need to start fresh, we might as well try putting in a few good practices now to ensure that we’re putting health before anything else. It will change your life around, it will change the way you think about things, and it will definitely ensure that you’re living a happy life!

Being Health Conscious

At some point in our lives, we should really start to become a little more health conscious. We should pay attention to the things we’re doing to our bodies, and the negative effects they might have in the long run.

The first thing you need to think about is how you’re treating your body in terms of smoking and drinking. A common habit that people of all ages have, but we don’t all deal with efficiently. If you can, try cutting out the smoking and replacing the nicotine. Cigarettes have harsh chemicals in them that are just no good for the body! But vaping cuts out so many of those chemicals, allowing you to cut down on the amount you smoke a day.

As for those who like a tipple, stay away from binge drinking! It causes so much damage to the internal organs over time, especially the liver.

I challenge you to pay attention and become aware of how you’re treating your body. Avoid letting the bad habits control you, your time, and your health overall.

You can also be more health conscious with the exercise you do. Focus on working out a couple of times a week, rather than none at all! And if you are away on your travels, don’t let that be an excuse to ignore your health. Just try one of these portable exercise pieces of equipment or some at-home killer ab workouts to maintain that “health before anything else” mindset while away from home.

When Your Health Seriously Changes

When your health dramatically changes, your whole work can be thrown upside down. It can feel as though you have lost all control of your health, which is some cases, you might have.

Something as simple as slipping a disk or two at work through heavy lifting can leave you disabled. But, it’s important to know when to contact a disability attorney for your problems. They can help with things such as claims and money problems. But, if your condition can be fixed, then you might not be classed as registered disabled. When it does dramatically change, you also need to make sure you’re relying on the people around you to help as much as they will!

I remember my dad taking off the bed of the truck one year for a ride around the neighborhood on Halloween. He grabbed the huge truck cover all by himself and lifted it off. It was just minutes later that he was in pain and just weeks later that he had to get back surgery because of slipped disks. When it comes to serious work and body movements, don’t hesitate to ask for help, it will be much better than having to go through all of that pain later on.

Promoting Health

Promoting health is so important to the people around you. You could share so much information with those around you, that you could end up motivating them enough to change their ways with fitness. From making sure they’re working out, to losing weight, to treating their bodies how it should be treated! You’ll become an advocate for health, and it will become more easy for you to stay focused on your own health if you’re helping others put their health before anything else.

And that right there is a big reason that I promote health. I believe it is very important to stay healthy in order to be as happy and successful as possible in life. I love to raise others up and keep them feeling good and it just helps me maintain myself along the way.
