Anyone who says that getting fit and getting in shape is easy, is lying. It’s not easy, it can actually be incredibly challenging. And if you’re not careful, you will struggle to find your feet whether you are hitting the gym or taking it to the road. It’s true to say that there are a few roadblocks that you can face on the path to fitness. We’re going to look at some of these issues and make sure that you can overcome them and rise to the challenge.
Financial Crisis
It’s possible that your finances aren’t as healthy as they once were. Perhaps you may have even lost a few deals at work or went over your budget. At that point, it can be difficult to prioritize your health and fitness as much. However, this is exactly when your fitness should be at the forefront of your priorities. It could actually help you. When getting fit and working out, more blood is being pumped to the brain and keeps you firing on all four cylinders. This is exactly where you want to be when you’re hoping to ace that interview and increase your income.

Depression is also common when you find yourself in one of these roadblocks. By working towards getting fit, you can help fight it off, providing you with a reason to get up in the morning each day. When I am working on getting fit, I always feel great about myself. My endorphins are being released and I automatically feel a trigger of positivity run through my body, releasing stress.
Working out isn’t just improving my body, it is also working with my mind.
Remember, you don’t need a gym membership to stay in shape. All you really need is a good pair of running shoes if that. Workouts can be easily done at home or even on your travels, so there shouldn’t be an excuse.
Unexpected Injury
It is possible that an injury has left you unable to exercise. It’s important to realize that an injury like this isn’t always life-saving. You can, if you get the right recovery plan in place, get back on your feet in no time with most injuries.
Of course, this will cost money, and that’s why it’s important to speak to an attorney after an injury to find out whether it was your fault. Lawyers, such as David Brauns can help you with these roadblocks. They’ll determine whether there is a person or corporation liable for your injury and help you get the finances you need for a speedy recovery.
But this is why it is important to always put health before anything else.
No Motivation
Perhaps you’re just not feeling it enough to get up off the sofa. This is a common one of the roadblocks when it comes to getting fit, but supplements are going a long way to solving it. Natural substances, supplements provide your muscles and your brain exactly what they need.

Or, if you don’t want to use supplements, you can think about finding someone to workout with you. This can be all the motivation you need to hit the gym and get powered up for some heavy lifting with a friend.
Another option is to attend some new and different classes, which can keep things more exciting and give you something to look forward to. I have also noticed, being with a group in these classes, can get me more pumped up throughout the exercises.
No Time
Or finally, maybe it’s just the fact that you really don’t have the time for serious exercise. It’s possible that with a busy work and personal schedule, it’s hard to find a point where you can head to the gym. Of course, this can change with online personal training. Using a service like that, you’ll be able to fit your exercises around your personal schedule and get the workout you need.
There shouldn’t be any excuses for not getting around these roadblocks and getting fit.
What is one of the roadblocks you encounter when it comes to staying healthy?
How will you avoid these roadblocks from getting fit?
I challenge you to find a way that you can work out at least one time more than usual this week. And if that means only once total, then so be it. It’s better than nothing.

My issue is time and just trying to get myself to commit to scheduling it into my day. The motivation is there, but I really need to buckle down and set the time aside.
Yes, it definitely gets difficult to make time for things in the midst of everything else.
I really don’t have the motivation anymore. I used to ride horses which is a great core, leg and arm workout. There is nothing quite like it! So it is hard to go back to regular gym stuff. I just need to make the decision!
Finding motivation isn’t always easy. I suggest sticking to horse-back riding when you can, since it is FUN! As well as, finding a partner to workout with, it tends to make the exercises more exciting 😉
Yup! I can relate to all these “excuses”. It is so important to take care of yourself, though! Great post and quite motivational! I WILL find time to exercise today! 🙂
I am glad to hear that it was motivational and you WILL find time to exercise!
I always feel so much better when I am consistent with my workouts. Motivation is my biggest issue. Just this morning I debated going back to sleep for half an hour or doing my daily pilates. The pilates won and I felt so much better afterwards!
Just getting up and going is the hardest part – the rest comes easy. I am glad you chose the pilates!
Motivation is a huge one for me. I try to get out for a walk a few times a week and that always makes me feel better!
Walking is the best for ANYONE.
Thanks for the read Katie!
Time always seems to be my roadblock so I just started “scheduling” exercise time. As much as I love being outside and with living in Florida we can be outside most of the year I have found that I need to attend a structured program also – one that has times. This way I feel like it is a must do!
YES! That is key. We must have a schedule or routine for exercise or else it gets put on the backburner and is often forgotten.
